Hello everybody! We hope you’re having a great weekend. Here it is already 82 and sunny we are well into Spring and on our way to Summer. We know it may seem like it’s been a little quiet around here but there’s actually been lots happening behind the scenes that we are very excited to finally share with you! Today we are spotlighting our service involvements and we’d like to share what we’ve been doing as well as you can help out many of the organizations we partner with and where we love to send donations.
If you’ve been around us long, you probably know we love to send out donations to various organizations. These are often small groups and individuals who send out some sort of care package to those struggling with an illness. We love it, and it all goes back to our mission-to help everyone with a medical device in their lives take back the medical and bring back a little bit of choice and self love into their life: to put the ME back in MEdical. Today we are so excited to share not only our recent donations to several care package organizations, but also one we have been working on for quite awhile: a package sent out to URS Medical.
URS Medical is a medical supply company based in Waco, Texas. They send out lot of supplies, and a large portion of their patients are tubies. A representative reached out to us a few months ago asking to partner with us to distribute our tubie pads and clips to their patients, and of course we said YES! While we wanted to get things rolling with URS as soon as we could, personal medical issues delayed our plans for a little while. However, this past week we finally got to send off a large box full with 50 tubie pads and 100 tubie clips to URS! We are so excited for this opportunity and look forward to a continuing partnership. Not only did we get to finally send off a box to URS Medical this week, but we also sent off a few more packages of donations! The first package was one sent to The Happy Package Project. We sent them a package (picture on the left below) with a tubie bear, 8 tubie pads, and 12 tubie clips to include in their care packs.
The Happy Package Project is an organization run by Sarah (picture on the right above), who sends out surprise care packages to those going through a life altering experience. You can connect with them through Instagram (@happypackageproject) and Facebook to learn more. They are always in need of donations such as small items to include in packages, tissue paper (used or new), but are particularly low on funds to ship out packages right now. #TheHappyPackageProject
We also had a chance to send out 8 tubie pads, 12 tubie clips, a bear with a central line, and a few stress balls we’ve collected to Hope Blankets. Hope Blankets is run by Emily (picture to the right below), who sends out handmade blankets along with a few other items in care packages to children with cancer, a chronic illness, or a mental illness. If you would like to get involved, you can connect with them via Instagram (@hope.blankets). They accept donations of items such as headbands, coloring books, stuffed animals, toys, and more, as well as donations to help cover the cost of blanket supplies and shipping costs. You can also sponsor a child to receive a blanket and a care package.
The forth package of donations we sent out last week went to Jars for Stars. Jars for Stars is an organization started by 14 year old Jordan, and sends out care packages (jars) to kids ages 0-15 with a life altering illness. They have sent out over 100 packages we are so excited to support them! We sent 8 tubie pads, 12 tubie clips, and a number of other items we have been collecting. You can learn more or apply by visiting their their website, and you can contact them through Facebook, Instagram (@jarsforstars), or by email to get involved. You can send items to include in the jars they send out, or donate to help cover shipping and other costs. You can also choose to sponsor a specific child.
As always, we love to support these kind of organizations and we’d love to get you involved too. You can check out their links above and as always can feel free to contact us to learn more or for help getting connected.
This was our week, Tickle Me Tubies style! What was yours like? We’d love to hear!
