Happy Summer everybody! We hope you are having a wonderfully relaxing and fun-filled summer wherever you are! Today we’re going to bring you short update on what’s been happening and will be happening around here, and then we’re going to spotlight 8 amazing organizations that we’ve been able to donate some items to recently. Thanks for stopping by and giving us a read! We would always love to hear from you, so feel free to message us through Etsy, Facebook, or Instagram, use the contact form here, or shoot us a quick email. Let us know what you think and what you’d like to see in the future!
First up: what’s been happening? Lots! We’ve been hard at work here at Tickle Me Tubies, quietly busy packing up orders, making new items, and more! As some of you may have seen by now, we recently loaded tons of new Tubie Clips TM to our Etsy shop AND we started offering international shipping! That’s right, we are now shipping outside the US! (See our shipping policies on Etsy for more details) If you haven’t seen the new clips yet, be sure to check them out as well. And to those of you that have already placed an order, we want to say a huge thank you to all of you! The response to our newest clips has been just fantastic, and that’s all thanks to you.
As usual, we are (of course!) working behind the scenes on lots of exciting projects! We don’t have any quite ready to reveal yet, but we do want to give everyone a quick heads up that our shop will be taking a short break starting Sunday evening, July 16th. Tickle Me Tubies is a one woman show run by Laura, and she’ll be having surgery that week so we want to make sure everyone gets their orders in a timely fashion and none are delayed. All orders up until the shop closes will be shipped out on our usual schedule before the surgery takes place. We plan to be closed hopefully just a week (maybe even less!), but as many of you know, recovery can be unpredictable. We strive to provide all of our customers five start service from before you even place an order, so we’ll be sure to update you if plans change. We appreciate your patience during this time!
Now that business is taken care of, let’s talk donations! Thanks to the support of all of our awesome customers, we’ve been able to send out donated items to 8 more wonderful organizations! We always encourage you to check them out and see how you can get involved too, so below you’ll find a short description for each along with ways you can contact them and get involved.
First up is our first ever international donation! This lovely package filled with tubie pads and Tubie ClipsTM made it all the way to Cards for Bravery in England to be part of their new Bravery Packs Program.
Cards for Bravery is a non-profit organization. They send out handmade cards to hospitalized children and adults, and have recently started sending out “Bravery Packages” to those ages 2-21 with a chronic, serious, or life altering illness. You can find out more and connect with Cards for Bravery through their website, and on social media through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Next we sent a package full of goodies to Cosmetology for a Cure. Cosmetology for a Cure is an organization that sends out care packages to children and teens who have a chronic illness or special needs. We sent a package filled with our awesome pads and clips to help spread the love and support their wonderful work!
Cosmetology for a Cure is currently selling t-shirts to help raise money for their organization, which you can view here. You can also get involved and in touch with them via Instagram and Facebook, and help support their cause through their Go Fund Me page here.
Our third donation pack recently went out to That Lucky Bracelet! That Lucky Bracelet sends out “Smile Packages” across the globe to children and teens facing a life threatening or life altering chronic illness. Their mission is to help life the burden of the tough and often painful or scary treatments and hospital stays of children and teens around the world, so we sent them some clips and pads to help complete their mission and spread more smiles.
You can get involved and help them too! You can get involved and learn more on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages. You can also help support them through their Crowdrise campaign here.
Our next package made its way to an organization not far from us called Hopeful Packages. Hopeful packages sends out care packages to children, teens, and young adults with life threatening and life altering illnesses. They also love to support those spending time in infusion centers by providing conversation and little gifts to help keep patients comfortable and busy.
You can find more information about Hopeful Packages on their website here, and you can help support their Go Fund Me campaign here. Or, you can purchase a t-shirt through CustomInk here, or some jewelry through their Bravelets fundraiser here to help raise the funds needed to send out care packages. You can also help out, contact, and follow Hopeful Packages on Instagram and Facebook.
We also sent a donation package recently to Molly’s Mail. Molly’s Mail is dedicated to cheering up people around the world by sending out care packages to those with chronic and mental illnesses. We loved what they are doing so we were so excited to send a package filled with tubie pads and clips to help them spread cheer!
Molly’s Mail has a Go Fund Me campaign where you can help them raise the funds they need to continue to send out care packages around the world. You can connect with Molly’s Mail and find out more ways to help by following them on Instagram or Facebook.
Just this past week we got to send another of our donation packages out, this time to support Warrior Packages! Warrior Packages is a new organization just started this year, and we always love helping others get started so we sent a package filled with goodies to include in their care packages.
Warrior Packages creates care packages to give to teens ages 12-17 with chronic or life threatening illnesses. You can follow them and get involved on their Instagram page, or support their Go Fund Me campaign here.
We also got to send out a donation package this week to Blanket Hugs! Blanket Hugs is dedicated to bringing awareness and comfort to kids fighting life threatening illnesses, and they recently began sending out Heart Packs. Heart Packs are care packages designed especially for families touched by Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). Blanket Hugs originally requested to purchase a few of our upcoming heartbeat Tubie ClipsTM a little early so they could be included in some heart packs for tubies. But we decided to go a step further and send them a special surprise donation pack with extra heartbeat clips just for them!
If you would like to find out more, apply, or donate, you can follow Blanket Hugs on Instagram and Facebook. You can also read more on their website, and support them via Go Fund Me here.
But we didn’t stop there! We always love to support the tubie and chronic illness community any way we can. Sometimes that means sending a little surprise gift pack to a tubie in need, which we did this week. Other times it means adding a few extra clips to those purchased to be donated, which we also did recently!
Sunflower Packages is another brand new organization. Their goal is to bring joy to those in the hospital through care packages. Sunflower Packages is actually on our list for donations, but we weren’t quite ready to send them a full donation pack, so they decided to purchase a few clips in the meantime to get them started. Since we do have a big bag full of clips to send out still, we decided to toss in a few extras! You can find and follow Sunflower Packages on Instagram here.
Wow, how awesome have these past few weeks been?! We are so excited to see and hear our little products travel around the world to help bring joy, character, and comfort to people everywhere. We are always up for helping others Put the ME Back in Medical!
