Hello everyone! We apologize for not being around too much lately. There’s been lots of personal medical craziness going around these days but we are finding time to squeeze in some holiday cheer and hope you are too. There’s lots of excitement in progress and ahead for us but not too much to let you in on right now so we’re going to turn it over to Laura to bring you a special pattern and tutorial.
(Laura) Merry Christmas everyone! I hope this post finds you well and at home surrounded by family. Part of my recent health rollercoaster has resulted in me getting a PICC line. For anyone not familiar with what a PICC line is, it stands for “Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter” and in the most basic sense is basically a long-term IV that allows one to receive IV therapy at home, be it medications, fluids, or nutrition. Well one of the very first things I did after I got home with my PICC was to sew up a PICC sleeve to give me a comfy, cute, and functional cover to both spruce it up and protect my PICC line. After posting a pictures of a few of these new covers I received many requests for a pattern. So after a few more days of testing and perfecting the design, I created a pattern and tutorial for the Tickle Me Tubies PICC Line Sleeve! I hope you all put it to good use, and am always available to help with any questions you may have. The pattern includes sizes XS-XL and an optional pocket with access from inside the PICC cover to thread the line into. If there is enough demand, I may add more sizes later.

Thanks Laura! While we will eventually make and sell finished PICC sleeves in our shop, the pattern and tutorial are completely FREE. Our desire is for this pattern to bless and empower others by giving back a sense of choice, personalization, and the power to take back the medical (just like our mission statement, which you can read more about here). So whether you make these for yourself, a friend, or sew some up to donate, we want to give you the ability to touch someone’s life. As always, we are here to help! We hope you enjoy the pattern. We’d love to see your PICC sleeves, so feel free to tag us on Instagram, Facebook, or post yours to our Facebook page!
Merry Christmas everyone!
