Description
Our new & improved Tubie Pads feature more options better absorbency than ever to help you find the perfect pad for your tube! These particular pads are sold individually and feature this awesome snowflake print on both the top and bottom.
Our cotton backed Tubie Pads are made with a 100% soft cotton flannel top and bottom, with a new 100% cotton middle layer and plastic snap closure. We’ve updated the material used in the middle of our cotton Tubie Pads for improved absorbency to keep you dry longer, but they are about the same thickness as our previous style of Tubie Pads. Please note they may feel a bit more stiff at first, but will relax with washing. These Tubie Pads are available in a small, 2 1/2 inch diameter size or a larger 3 inch diameter. For those who have used our Tubie Pads in the past, the small 2.5″ diameter is the same size as our original pads. If you aren’t sure which size to purchase, consider the type of feeding tube. You can use any size, backing, or thickness with any and all surgical feeding tubes, but in general those with PEG (long) style tubes may prefer the larger diameter, while those with button style tubes may prefer a smaller diameter, so this is a good starting place if you aren’t quite sure of your own preferences yet. The pictures demonstrating diameter are for reference only. This listing is for the snowflake print Tubie Pads.
Tubie Pads are special pads designed to fit around surgical feeding tubes in the place of standard split gauze dressings. Many patients prefer Tubie Pads to gauze for their superior comfort, better wicking for a “stay-dry” feel, and the wide variety of unique prints available, as well as the reduced waste and increased sustainability reusable Tubie Pads bring.
All of our Tubie Pads are machine washable. We recommend washing in a net laundry bag and stain treating with hydrogen peroxide or a stain removal bar when needed. You can choose to tumble dry your pads or simply lay them flat to air dry.
